Pomegranate helps blood circulation, strengthens the immune system and improves memory. It "fights" obesity, has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties and its juice has anti-cancer effects by fighting cancer cells. It contributes in particular to the prevention of breast, skin and prostate cancer.
Pomegranate is rich in vitamins A, C and E, a wealth of minerals (potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, selenium), carbohydrates and fibre. A single pomegranate can provide 40% of the amount of vitamin C and 25% of the amount of folic acid needed daily by an adult. It also contains high amounts of fibre and is low in calories. From their seeds, oil is extracted which has antibacterial properties.
